God Market is the debut EP from Daydream Fever. It’s a lyrically rebellious statement and sets out to question the various foundations of human existence – our fears, our ego, our spirituality, our economy, our justice, our home. God Market rebels in the sonic sense too, not being bound by any one genre – the entire EP running under 10 minutes in length but delving into hip hop, live acapella looping, punk, grunge and electronica. Daydream Fever enlists the help of former-Adelaidian, now Melbournite, Luke Carlino, whose emotive vocal style and guitar-driven loops perfectly complement both the title and closing tracks. In an age where attention spans keep reducing, Daydream Fever has delivered a debut that provides a perfect balance – short, punchy, but still a cohesive body of work with a message and a difference.
